Valerie Mattas, CPA, CIA, has extensive experience in internal audit and risk management, currently serving as Manager of Internal Audit at Sharp HealthCare since May 2019, after progressing through roles including Principal Internal Auditor and Senior Internal Auditor. Prior to Sharp HealthCare, Valerie worked at KPMG from June 2016 to May 2019 in Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk. Earlier career experience includes serving as Senior Account Manager at Anderson Financial Management from July 2008 to July 2014 and as Reception Manager at Sigal Gevojanyan from September 2006 to January 2008. Valerie holds a Master of Science in Accountancy with a specialization in Accounting Information Systems from San Diego State University (2014-2016) and a Bachelor's Degree in International Development Studies from UCLA (2005-2009).
