Patagonia, Inc. is an American clothing company that focuses on sustainable clothing. The company was founded in 1973 by Yvon Chouinard and is headquartered in Ventura, California.
Pedro J. Lopez-Baldrich served as General Counsel and Vice President of Operations at Patagonia from 2005 to 2012. In this role, they were responsible for the company's legal affairs, as well as overseeing various company operations. During their time at Patagonia, Pedro helped the company navigate a number of legal challenges and also played a key role in helping the company transition to a more sustainable business model.
After leaving Patagonia, Pedro served as CEO (interim) and General Counsel at Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDTi), a clean-tech emissions control company. Pedro was responsible for the company's IP portfolio and patent strategy, R&D, joint ventures, global licensing, and joint development opportunities. Pedro also oversaw multiple company functions, including sales, intellectual property, SEC filings, equity raises, HR, and new business development. Pedro left Clean Diesel Technologies in 2015 to join SharkNinja as Chief Legal Officer and EVP.
Pedro J. Lopez-Baldrich received their Bachelor's Degree in International Business from Drake University. Pedro then attended Georgetown University Law Center and received their Juris Doctor degree. After law school, they completed an Executive Business Program at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
