Ambika Rajgopal is an experienced Assistant Curator at Sharjah Art Foundation since September 2017, with a strong background as a freelance art writer and editor since November 2013. Ambika has contributed to numerous international publications, including frieze, ArtAsiaPacific, and Asian Art Newspaper, focusing on Asian art. Previous roles include communications executive at Alserkal Avenue, where responsibilities included managing communications for events and galleries, and a work-placement in business development at Christie's, developing client engagement strategies for Indian and Islamic art. Ambika also gained experience as a consultant at Die Galerie, researching the Indian art market, and held internships at Saffronart and Timothy Taylor Gallery. Ambika's education includes a Master of Science in Art, Law, and Business from Christie's Education, a Master of Arts in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
