Johan Wiström has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Johan is currently working as a Software Engineer at ShardSecure since 2021. Prior to this, Johan served as a Tech Lead and Backend Developer at PriceRunner from 2018 to 2021. Johan also worked at Reforce International, where they held roles as a Tech Lead and Principal Partner from 2015 to 2018. Johan gained experience as a Business Analyst and Product Definition at Amadeus IT Group in 2013. Johan worked as a Consultant at Tieto in 2013, where they were involved in Java development and a project based in Finland. Johan also completed their M.Sc. thesis at Tieto in 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Educator at My Academy, teaching math and physics to high school students, and as an Independent Consultant at Specialistläkarhuset.

Johan Wiström's education history begins in 2002 when they attended Skvadern and obtained a Gymnasieexamen degree in Natural Sciences in 2005. Johan then pursued their higher education at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, starting in 2007 and graduating in 2010, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Johan continued their studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in the same field from 2010 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Johan has obtained several certifications. In 2016, they became an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer, and also achieved the Vaadin 7 Certified Developer certification. Johan further expanded their knowledge in 2018 by completing a Machine Learning course. In 2019, Johan obtained the Elasticsearch Engineer II certification from Elastic. In 2020, they sought further training in various areas, including Java memory management from Udemy, as well as online courses in structuring machine learning projects, improving deep neural networks, and neural networks and deep learning from Coursera.
