Lauren Swanson is a highly experienced bioinformatics engineer with a diverse background in software engineering and research. Lauren is currently employed at Shape Therapeutics Inc. as a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer starting from April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Carterra as a Software Engineer, Team Lead - Analysis Software from August 2020 to March 2023. Additionally, they have experience as a Software Engineer at BioFire Diagnostics, LLC from January 2016 to July 2020. Lauren also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah School of Medicine from August 2014 to November 2015. Lauren worked as a Computer Science Tutor at the University of Puget Sound from September 2013 to May 2014. Lauren Swanson completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Puget Sound, which lasted from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2014 and 2015, specializing in Biochemistry. Later, they attended the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business from 2017 to 2018 where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Lauren then continued their studies at the same institution from 2018 to 2019, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management Information Systems, with a focus on General Management Information Systems. In addition to their formal education, Lauren also obtained a certification as an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2019.
