John Waite has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. John started their career in 1995 as a Design/Manufacturing/Quality Engineer at North American Segment Company, where they were involved in setting up a precast manufacturing plant and managing the production of concrete liners for a tunnel project.
In 1996, John joined Korry Electronics as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they were responsible for process development and tool design in areas such as laser etching, paint, injection molding, and metal forming/machining. John later transitioned to the role of Test Equipment Engineer, focusing on designing automated test equipment and conducting qualification testing.
From 2002 to 2008, John worked at Philips in various roles. John started as a Sr. Automation/Controls Engineer, developing automated systems to tune Sonicare toothbrush heads. John then became a Manager in Equipment Engineering, leading the design and implementation of assembly lines and test systems for FDA Class I medical device manufacturing. In their final role at Philips, John served as a Manager in R&D Process Technology, overseeing various engineering functions and ensuring their integration into product development.
John then joined Automated Systems of Tacoma in 2011 as an Engineer, contributing to engineering projects. In 2013, they briefly worked at Cenorin in Product Development before moving on to Waite Technologies in 2015. At Waite Technologies, they served as a Management Consultant/Project Manager, providing expertise and managing projects.
Most recently, John has been working at Shape Technologies Group since 2015. John started as a Manager in Supplier Quality and Change Management and then transitioned to the position of Director of New Product Introduction in 2019.

John Waite holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Idaho. John also obtained a Black Belt in Design for Six Sigma from Philips Consumer Lifestyle. Additionally, John obtained the certification of Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) in 1994.
