Marcelo Soares is an experienced Machine Learning Engineering Manager at Shape, leading a team of Machine Learning Engineers since June 2021 while also overseeing the design of scalable architectures. Prior to this role, Marcelo served as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, focusing on MLOps and the development of the Shape ML platform, and previously worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Data Engineer, specializing in CI/CD pipelines and Big Data architectures. Marcelo's earlier experience includes roles at BlueShift Brasil as a Senior Data Engineer and Senior Data Scientist, where technical leadership in data pipelines and predictive modeling was emphasized. With a background that includes IT consulting and project management, Marcelo combines technical acumen in machine learning and data engineering with experience in leadership and strategy development. Marcelo holds a degree in Electronic and Computing Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a technical degree in Electronics from Cefet/RJ.
