Dr. Crystal Reimer is an accomplished educator and expert in adapted physical education and mindfulness practices. Currently serving in SD Leadership at SHAPE America since December 2022 and as an Adapted Physical Education Teacher in Mesquite ISD since May 2020, Dr. Reimer has extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development. With a Doctor of Education in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and certifications from Mindful Schools, Dr. Reimer also leads mindfulness training through the initiative Putting the PE in PEACE. This platform provides resources for mindfulness and social-emotional learning. Previous roles include being a College Instructor at Dallas College, leading national workshops with AAPHERD, and developing an online platform with Bananas For Monkeys. Dr. Reimer has been instrumental in integrating social emotional learning within physical education settings throughout various educational institutions.
