Zheng Tang has a diverse work experience in education, with a focus on teaching Mandarin Chinese and music. Their most recent role was as a Music Teacher in the Shaker Heights City School District since August 2020. They also served as a Mandarin Chinese Instructor in the same district since August 2014. Prior to that, they taught Mandarin Chinese at the Columbus School of Chinese from March 2012 to August 2014. Additionally, they worked as the Mandarin Chinese instructor and School Band director at Village Academy Schools from August 2012 to June 2014. Before that, they taught Mandarin Chinese at Gahanna Jefferson Schools and Ohio Contemporary Chinese School from August 2011 to June 2013. Zheng Tang began their teaching career as a Student Teacher at Highland Local Schools from January 2011 to April 2011.

Zheng Tang pursued a Master's degree in Music Education at Case Western Reserve University from 2008 to 2011.
