Carrel Ieong's work experience begins in 2006 at Macau.com, where they held various roles including Marketing Manager and General Manager of Travel. During their time at Macau.com, they doubled e-commerce and media sales and expanded the company's operations to the China market. Carrel then joined Ignite Media Group as the Business Unit GM for Macau.com before becoming an Adjunct Lecturer at Macau University of Science and Technology.
In 2011, Carrel Ieong joined Galaxy Entertainment Group as the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing & E-commerce, responsible for driving travel e-commerce sales and developing online marketing strategies. Carrel was later promoted to Assistant Vice President - Digital & E-commerce Marketing, where they led the conglomerate's e-commerce strategies and played a key role in the launch of Galaxy Macau and Broadway Macau.
Carrel Ieong then transitioned to Resorts World Sentosa, where they first served as the Greater China Marketing Lead, responsible for marketing communications, media, digital, e-commerce, and partnerships. Carrel later became the Regional Head of Digital, overseeing online sales and marketing for several world-class attractions in Southeast Asia and leading digital transformation projects for the resort.
Currently, Carrel Ieong is with SGX Group, where they started as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications | Head of Digital Communications in 2018. Carrel then expanded their role to become the SVP & Head of Marketing & Digital Engagement. In this position, they lead a team of professionals and is responsible for overall marketing strategies and execution for SGX Group's six business verticals.
Throughout their career, Carrel Ieong has demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, customer experience, and integrated marketing strategies.
Carrel Ieong obtained a Master of Laws degree in Law from the University of Edinburgh Law School from 2015 to 2019. In 2013, they received an Executive Education in Marketing Strategy and Planning from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Carrel Ieong also earned a Master of Science degree in Tourism Marketing from the University of Surrey in 2005-2006. They also hold additional certifications in Professional Congress Organisation from IAPCO in 2009 and in Professional Exhibition Management from the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS) in 2005.
