Martin Tan is an experienced professional in the field of analytical chemistry and operations management, currently serving as the Field Services Operations Manager at SGS since September 2008. Over the years, Martin has held various managerial positions, including Technical Manager and Laboratory Ops. Manager, where responsibilities included managing development and training for field engineers and chemists, implementing quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, and ensuring timely processing of client analysis requirements while maintaining data quality and profitability. Prior to joining SGS, Martin worked as a chemist at Chemsain Konsultant Sdn. Bhd., focusing on water and wastewater projects. Martin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak.
