Solomon Mkansi

Acting Maintenance Section Head at SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA

Solomon Mkansi has a diverse work experience in the electrical and maintenance field. solomon started their career as an Electrical Technician Trainee at SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA in 2017. solomon then joined Powertech Transformers in 2014 as a Transformer Winding Assembler, where they were responsible for assembling different types of transformer windings. Mkansi returned to SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA in 2018 as a Maintenance Electrical Technician, where they provided technical support, troubleshooting, and installation of production equipment. solomon later became the Maintenance Electrical Team Leader, managing preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of equipment and training maintenance personnel. Additionally, they served as the Acting Maintenance Section Head, overseeing maintenance processes, budgets, and machinery standards.

Solomon Mkansi completed their first diploma in Electrical Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology from 2009 to 2011. solomon later pursued further education in the same field and obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university between 2019 and 2021.
