Elizabeth L. currently serves as a Medical Records Coder III at the University of Rochester Medical Center, focusing on claim edits, charge review, and denials within the Department of Medicine since May 2022. Prior to this, Elizabeth gained extensive coding experience at Practicefirst from January 2018 to May 2022, coding for emergency room and urgent care settings with a maintained accuracy of 95%. Elizabeth has a background in education, working as a teaching assistant and personal aide for students with disabilities at Amherst Central School District and Erie 1 BOCES from 2014 to 2017. Elizabeth holds a certificate in Medical Coding/Transcription from Herkimer County Community College as well as degrees in education from Buffalo State University and Nazareth University.
