Mark Van Hala, PE, serves as the Program Administrator at the Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans, where leadership includes overseeing significant FEMA and EPA infrastructure recovery programs totaling over $1 billion. With extensive experience in professional engineering services since 1999, Mark has contributed to multiple organizations, promoting STEM outreach and public safety initiatives, including serving as Past Chair for Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day®. Mark holds Fellow status in both the American Society of Civil Engineers (F.ASCE) and the National Society of Professional Engineers (F.NSPE), where prior leadership roles included Vice President & Chair of Professional Engineers in Government. Educational qualifications encompass a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Toledo and additional studies in Public Management from Arizona State University.
