Graeme Bird currently serves as a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since April 2020, while also working as a Paramedic for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust since April 2016. Graeme is a Crew Member with Severn Area Rescue Association, involved in operational boat crew and rope rescue operations since June 2017. Previous experience includes working as a Match Night Medic for Manchester Storm in 2019-2020 and as a Student Paramedic with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust from October 2014 to March 2016. Graeme began their career with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust as an Emergency Care Assistant and Student Paramedic from November 2010 to October 2014. Educational qualifications include ongoing MSc studies in Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of the West of England, a BSc in Paramedic: Practice Development from the University of Cumbria, a Foundation degree from Oxford Brookes University, and concurrent studies at the University of Warwick.
