Amiel Gladys Villa is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in molecular biology and biotechnology. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher at Inscripta, Inc. since January 2023 and as a Research Associate III at Sestina Bio, LLC. since December 2021, Amiel has developed expertise in molecular cloning, gene editing, and cell separation techniques. Previous positions include Senior Researcher at PACT Pharma, Associate Scientist at Exelixis, and multiple roles at Zymergen, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed project management and process optimization. Amiel began the career as a Laboratory Technician II at Microbiology & Quality Associates, Inc. and holds a degree in Biological Science with a focus on Microbiology/Biomedical Lab Sciences from California State University - East Bay and an Associate of Science in Allied Health from Diablo Valley College.
