Adam Sullivan

Senior Principal Statistician at Servier Pharmaceuticals

Adam Sullivan has a diverse work experience in the field of statistics and biostatistics. Adam started their career as a Mathematics Teaching Assistant at Houghton College from 2001 to 2003. Adam then worked as a Mathematics and Physics Teacher in both Sherman Central School District and Marion Central School District from 2004 to 2007. Adam then joined Avera Health as a Statistics Intern in 2009, where they worked on quality control checks and IRB meetings for research projects.

In 2010, Adam pursued their PhD at Harvard University, where they researched causal inference, performed statistical consulting, and developed models for causal mediation analysis. Adam also researched psychosocial aspects of advanced cancer and palliative care.

After completing their PhD, Adam joined Harvard School of Public Health as an Instructor in 2014, where they co-instructed a blended course on Principles of Biostatistics and Epidemiology.

In 2015, Adam joined Brown University as an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and the Director of Graduate Programs. Adam developed and taught biostatistics courses, served on academic committees, and presented at conferences on teaching methods. Adam also served as a Faculty Statistician at the Hassenfeld Child Health Innovation Institute, where they validated and developed predictive algorithms for data modeling needs related to asthma, injury, and education.

In 2020, Adam joined Takeda as a Principal Biostatistician, where they contributed to the development of innovative treatments through data analysis and digital strategies. Adam later became a Senior Manager of Statistics, harnessing data and digital insights to speed up treatments' development.

Currently, Adam works at Servier Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Principal Statistician, responsible for global medical and patient affairs trials. Adam is involved in protocol development for late phase clinical trials and real-world evidence trials. Additionally, they plan, designs, and runs analysis for posters and publications based on these trials.

Adam Sullivan has a strong education background. Adam obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biostatistics from Harvard University during the years 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics from South Dakota State University from 2007 to 2010. Before their Master's degree, they pursued a Master's degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in mathematics from the University of Idaho from 2004 to 2006. Lastly, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Houghton University from 2000 to 2003. Before entering college, Adam attended Fredonia High School.
