Joseph Souza, CPP, PSP, CBCP has extensive experience in security and surveillance technology. Joseph most recently worked as the Vice President of Sales at Serverli starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they served on the Editorial Advisory Board at Campus Security & Life Safety since November 2018. From April 2022 to January 2023, Souza was the Vice President of Surveillance and Security Technology at Jushi Holdings Inc., where they were responsible for designing surveillance and security systems for regulatory approval. Before that, they worked as the Director of Security at the University of Florida from December 2018 to May 2022, where they oversaw the expansion of the university's safety and security systems. From December 2014 to December 2018, Souza was the Assistant Director of Security at the University of Central Florida, where they established centralized security operations and designed the Global Security Operations Center. Prior to that, they worked as a Security Manager and Facility Security Officer at Lockheed Martin for a brief period in 2014. Joseph also served as the Director of Physical Security at Iron Mountain from September 2011 to December 2013. Before joining Iron Mountain, Souza worked as a Security Manager and Facility Security Officer at Lockheed Martin from 2006 to 2011. Joseph began their career as a Contractor Special Security Officer and Security Manager at BAE Systems from 2001 to 2006. Souza also worked as a Security Engineer at Engility formerly Dynamics Research Corporation from August 2000 to June 2001.

Joseph Souza, CPP, PSP, CBCP has an MBA in Applied Management from Daniel Webster College, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Joseph also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from the same institution, earned between 1997 and 1999. In 2010, Joseph received a Certificate from the FBI Citizens Academy - Boston Division. For their professional development, they completed the Developing Cultural Intelligence program offered by the Professional Development division of Harvard University in 2021. In terms of certifications, Joseph obtained the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from ASIS International in June 2005. Joseph then acquired the Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification from the same institution in December 2006. Additionally, Joseph holds the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification from DRI International, although the exact date of certification is not specified. Joseph also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Lockheed Martin in June 2008.
