David Gillespie has extensive experience in mechanical design and engineering roles. David is currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at Serve Robotics, where they lead the mechanical design, manufacturing, and service aspects of the delivery robot. Prior to this, David worked at Postmates Inc. as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, contributing to the design and development of their products. David also served as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Anki, where they led and supported the design and manufacturing of consumer robots and accessories, working closely with cross-functional teams. Before that, David held the position of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at InMotion US, where they developed and maintained mechanical components for electric motors. David began their career at Kollmorgen, first as a Test Engineer, working with a wide range of motors, and then as a Mechanical Design Engineer, managing projects and designing housing packages for motors and generators. Overall, David brings expertise in mechanical design, manufacturing, product development, and cross-functional collaboration.

David Gillespie attended Virginia Tech from 2002 to 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics.
