Mike Yakima has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Mike most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer at Servant Keeper since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager from August 2018 to October 2022. Before joining McKinsey, Mike served in the US Air Force Reserve as a Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) officer from October 2015 to September 2018. Mike also had a significant role as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force from June 2008 to August 2014. Additionally, Mike briefly worked at USAID as a Program Assistant in the Democracy and Governance Team in June 2009.

Mike Yakima obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy in the years 2004 to 2008. In 2008, they also obtained an Engineer Intern License from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. Mike then pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from the Harvard Kennedy School from 2008 to 2010. In 2014, they attended Stanford Law School, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree with a Pro Bono Distinction. During the same period, they also attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, from which they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree and a Certificate in Public Management & Social Innovation. In 2018, Mike attained membership in good standing in the Pennsylvania Bar from the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
