Peter Smith is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in substance abuse treatment and co-occurring disorders. Currently serving as a Primary Therapist at Serenity House Detox, LLC since September 2019, Peter has previously held the same role at 1st Step Behavioral Health Treatment Center. Prior to these positions, Peter gained valuable experience as a Social Work Intern at Miami Vamc and as a PSR Counselor at Chrysalis Health, where duties included running therapeutic groups. Peter's career began as a Student Therapist for IOP and Men's Substance Abuse at Destination Hope. Peter holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Barry University, earned between 2015 and 2018.
