Carla da Cunha, MA, LCPC, is an accomplished clinical psychotherapist and founder of Serengeti Wellness, where Carla has been serving since March 2023. With extensive experience in the mental health field, Carla has held positions such as a clinical psychotherapist at Wildflower Center for Emotional Health and a behavioral health intern clinician at AMITA Health. Carla has also contributed to academic research as a research assistant and scholarly activist at IC-RACE Lab, TCSPP, since August 2018. Carla's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a Latinx Mental Health Concentration from The Chicago School, a psychotherapist certificate from Helios Counsellor Training, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stellenbosch University. Notable leadership experience includes serving as a mentor and student ambassador at The Chicago School, as well as founding La Dolcé Vita Counseling Services.
