Tom Read currently serves as the Group Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Serco, overseeing global digital transformation for the company. Prior to this, Tom held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Government Digital Service, where focus was on simplifying digital government services. Tom has extensive experience in digital transformation across various sectors, having worked as Chief Digital and Information Officer for the Ministry of Justice UK, and Chief Technology Officer at both the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Cabinet Office. Previous roles include positions at Guardian News & Media, TUSP, Lloyds TSB, and Severn Trent Systems. Tom holds an MSc in Computer Science and a B.A. (Hons.) in English from Aberystwyth University.
