John Civiello has over 35 years of work experience in various leadership roles. John is currently serving as the Vice President of Business Development at Serco Inc since August 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Alion Science and Technology as the Vice President of Business Development from June 2018 to August 2019 and also held the role of Engineering Capture Management from August 2015 to May 2018. Before Alion Science and Technology, they were the Owner of SurveySpec LLC from January 2013 to December 2015.

Earlier in their career, they worked at L-3 Communications as the Deputy Business Group General Manager and Vice President of Operations from September 2007 to July 2012, and also served as the Vice President and Sector Manager from October 2002 to August 2007. John began their career at Technology, Management and Analysis Corporation, where they held several leadership roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from November 1997 to September 2002, Vice President from June 1993 to November 1997, Division Director, Ship Production Engineering and Management from April 1990 to June 1993, Project Manager, Ship Production and Life Cycle Engineering from April 1988 to April 1990, and Project Engineer, Ship Trials and Engineering Change Review from January 1983 to April 1988.

John Civiello attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering.
