Hur Koser

Chief Product and Technology Officer at Seraph Biosciences

Hur Koser has extensive experience in the technology and healthcare industries. Hur began their career in 1995 as a Research Associate at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, where they characterized the switching dynamics of magnetic tunneling junctions and predicted and demonstrated conditions for faster-than-GHz operating speeds with memory cells. Hur then moved to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate and Research Assistant and designed, developed, helped fabricate, and characterized a micro-scale magnetic generator. In 2003, they became an Associate Professor at Yale University. In 2011, they co-founded Ancera, where they served as CTO and applied a novel cell-manipulation platform to revolutionize the food safety market. From 2017-2018, they were CTO of Amprion Inc. and from 2018-2021, they were CTO of Savran Technologies Inc., where they advanced the cutting-edge in the field of liquid biopsy. Since 2020, they have been the RADx Team Lead at NIH, ULP, where their team's job is to guide fledgling startups from concept to large-scale commercialization. In 2021, they became Chief Product and Technology Officer at Seraph Biosciences, Inc. and also provides consulting CTO services to clients in medical diagnostics and healthcare technologies.

Hur Koser's educational history includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Micro-electro-mechanical Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) between 1999 and 2002, a Masters of Engineering in Semiconductor Memory from MIT between 1998 and 1999, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from MIT between 1994 and 1998. Hur also attended Kadikoy Anadolu Lisesi.
