Leon Furchtgott has worked at a variety of organizations since 2007. Leon began their career as an Intern at the National Institutes of Health, followed by a Research Assistant position at Stanford University and a Graduate Researcher role at Harvard University. In 2016, they joined GNS Healthcare as a Senior Manager of Precision Medicine and a Computational Biologist, where they developed integrative causal models of complex diseases. In 2018, they moved to Valo as an Associate Director of Data Science, and in 2021 they began working at Seranova Bio as a Senior Director of Data Science and Machine Learning.

Leon Furchtgott attended Princeton University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. Leon then went on to Harvard University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biophysics between 2010 and 2016.
