Emi Lutz has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. Emi began their career as a Park Ranger for the City of Bellevue. Emi then worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the University of Washington from 2013-2015 and for the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg from 2015-2016. Emi then pursued a PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2016-2022. During their PhD, they also worked as a Graduate Research Intern at Amgen from 2019-2020, where they researched synthesis methods and design criteria for siRNA under Dr. Justin K. Murray. Currently, they are a Scientist I at Seranova Bio.
Emi Lutz began their educational journey in 2012 when they attended the University of Washington and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Bioengineering in 2016. Emi then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
