Theo Kalkandis has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Theo started their career in 1979 as an Electro-Mechanical Technician at Goddards Amusements, where they installed, distributed, repaired, and maintained electro-mechanical gaming machines, pinball machines, and jukeboxes. Theo then worked as a Business Development Manager at Braemac from 1992 to 2000.
In 2001, Theo joined Hitachi Data Systems as a Systems Support Specialist, specializing in disaster recovery. Theo worked there until 2005. Simultaneously, from 2001 to 2009, they were an Account Manager at BearCom, managing technical sales of two-way radio equipment and acting as a project manager for radio communication systems for major events.
Theo then joined Sensitech in 2006 as a Professional Services Consultant, where they designed and implemented RF Mesh networks, conducted shipping studies for cold chain management, and performed thermal mapping studies of warehouses. In 2010, they became the Commercial Manager at JRD Communications Pty Ltd until 2012.
For the next four years, Theo worked at ICOM Australia as a Region Manager from 2012 to 2016. Theo then joined Sepura in 2017 as a Sales Engineer, where they currently hold a position. Throughout their career, Theo has amassed a broad range of skills and expertise in sales, management, technical support, and project management. Theo also has extensive experience in the photography industry, having owned and operated Melbourne Streets Photography, specializing in analogue and digital arts, from 1995 to 2016.
Theo Kalkandis attended Wray Castle in 2021, where they pursued a degree in LTE Mission Critical Broadband with a focus on Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering. Prior to that, Theo's education history is unknown as no specific start or end years were provided for their time at Barton College and Rutherglen High School. However, it can be inferred that they likely completed some level of education at these institutions based on their subsequent enrollment at Wray Castle. Additionally, Theo obtained a certification in Train The Trainer from the Australian Institute of Management in March 2022.
