Jérôme Guilbot has extensive work experience in the chemistry field. Jérôme began their career at the Laboratoire de Chimie des Biomolécules et des Systèmes Organisés as a Doctoral Researcher from October 1996 to November 1999. Jérôme then worked at ARD as a Post-doctoral Researcher from December 1999 to August 2001, and later became the Chemical Laboratory and Pilot Plant Team Leader from September 2001 to September 2002. Guilbot joined SEPPIC in October 2002 and held various roles throughout their tenure, including Sugars and Proteins Team Manager and Technical Ecotoxicological Manager from October 2002 to August 2012. Jérôme then became the Scientific Coordinator in Sugars, Proteins, Green Chemistry, and Eco-design from September 2012 to December 2015. From January 2016 to November 2018, Guilbot served as the Surfactants & Biosourced Actives Innovation/ Development Manager at SEPPIC. Jérôme then transitioned to being an IP Analyst from December 2018 to October 2021. Currently, Guilbot holds the position of Head of Chemistry at SEPPIC starting from November 2021.

Jérôme Guilbot completed their Master of Technology (MTech) in Chemistry from IUT Poitiers-Niort-Châtellerault between 1991 and 1993. Jérôme then pursued further education at Ecole nationale supérieure de Chimie de Rennes, where they obtained an Engineering degree and a Doctorate in Chemistry from 1993 to 1999.
