Gregor Pipan has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 1997 as a Researcher at the Jozef Stefan Institute. In 1999, they became a Developer at ActiveTools, and in 2001 they became the CEO of XLAB d.o.o., where they were responsible for the short- and long-term profitability and growth of the company. In 2010, they were a Marie Curie - Experienced Researcher at the University of Roma3, University of Warwick, and South China University of Technology. In 2011, they became a Researcher on various National and International Research projects. In 2013, they were the CSO at Sentinel Marine Solutions, and in 2014 they were a Member of the IDC Technical Computing Advisory Panel. In 2015, they were a Participant at the OECD, and in 2016 they were an External Reviewer for the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong. Finally, in 2022 they were an Implementation Consultant for Incrediscope.
Gregor Pipan's educational history began in 1988 when they attended GimB. Gregor then went on to attend the University of Ljubljana from 1992 to 1996, obtaining a B.Sc. in electrical engineering. From 1997 to 2000, they attended the same university and earned an M.Sc. in Computer Science. Finally, in 2009 they earned a Phd in Computer Science from the University of Maribor.
