Tiago Lagarto's work experience includes a variety of roles in different companies. Tiago started their career as a Managing Partner at Cumes, where they managed the business and represented international trademarks. Tiago later worked as a Freelancer, providing human resources training to middle management in various companies. Tiago then became a Project Manager, overseeing major projects in hardware, software development, and social and quality areas. Tiago also worked as a Marketing Consultant at Porto Business School, conducting market research studies and developing case studies. At Quimitecnica, Tiago served as a Business Unit Developer, successfully building and developing the export department. Tiago later joined SONAE as an Innovation Specialist and later as an Innovation Coordinator, where they facilitated workshops and promoted a culture of innovation within the retail business units. Most recently, Tiago worked at Sensormatic as the Global Director of Integration Services, where they oversaw a team of software engineers creating integration layers and customizations for the company's platform. Tiago also worked as a Transformation Manager, serving as a key liaison to Sensormatic's Inventory Intelligence business unit.
Tiago Lagarto began their education at Anderson High School in Cincinnati, OH, where they completed their high school education in 1996. Afterward, they attended the Universidade de Aveiro from 1996 to 1998, pursuing a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Following this, they enrolled in Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Master's Degree in Social Sciences. Later, in 2008, Tiago studied at Porto Business School and completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2009, they briefly attended IE Business School for a course on "A New Agenda for Business Leaders."
