Josh Caldwell's work experience includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer at SensoriumTL since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Vanderbilt University from 2017 to 2022, where they held positions such as Director of Interdisciplinary Materials Science Program and Flowers Family Chancellor Faculty Fellow and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Before joining Vanderbilt University, Josh worked at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from 2005 to 2017, starting as an ASEE/NRL Postdoctoral Fellow and later being promoted to Staff Research Scientist and Senior Staff Scientist.

Josh Caldwell attended Virginia Tech from 1995 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. Josh then pursued further education at the University of Florida from 2000 to 2004, earning a PhD in Physical Chemistry.
