A respected champion of advanced technologies, Brian has worked at the forefront of developing new advanced materials and equipment for diverse applications in emerging domestic and international markets for over two decades. He has also provided professional services through a technology commercialization consultancy to a broad mix of clients seeking to translate new applications of materials science into viable high-growth markets. One such opportunity led to his co-founding of a venture-backed company with a mission to develop and market innovative additive manufacturing equipment for the deposition of functional materials useful in production operations seeking to adopt Industry 4.0 practices.
Brian has more than 20 years’ experience in materials-based product commercialization at Eastman Kodak where he held a variety of roles in basic research, product manufacturing, marketing, laboratory management, technology scouting and corporate venture capital investment. Prior to those roles Brian spent over ten years focused on the exploration of fundamental science centered on small molecule synthesis, the preparation of medicinally important natural products and the development of new synthetic chemistry methodologies in both industry and academia.
