Simo Höglund has a diverse work experience in engineering and research. Simo started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Aalto University in 2017, where they also worked as a Research Assistant, conducting studies on III-V semiconductor thin films and nanowires. Simo then joined Microsoft in 2019 as a Lab Engineer, and later transitioned to roles as an Electrical Engineer and Hardware Engineer. At Microsoft, they developed innovative fabrication methods and metrology tools for Augmented Reality Devices. Simo is currently working as a Process Engineer at Sensirion, starting in 2023.

Simo Höglund's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Aalto University from 2015 to 2018. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electronics and Nanotechnology from Aalto University from 2018 to 2020. In 2018, Simo Höglund also participated in an exchange program at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, although the field of study for this program is not specified.
