Alexandre Mehdaoui

Project Purchasing Leader at Sensirion

Alexandre Mehdaoui, PhD, has extensive experience in the fields of MEMS and sensors development. Alexandre currently works as a Purchasing Project Leader at Sensirion, a role they assumed in February 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior MEMS/Sensors Development Engineer at Axetris AG from April 2022 to January 2023.

From November 2018 to March 2022, Mehdaoui worked at TrueDyne Sensors AG as a Project Manager for MEMS. In this role, they were responsible for the innovation and development of new MEMS technology for gas sensor applications using piezoelectric transducers, as well as managing external R&D partnerships.

Before joining TrueDyne Sensors AG, they worked at GLOBALFOUNDRIES as a Principal Engineer from October 2015 to September 2018. Here, they led the development of the MEMS PDK (Process Design Kit) for various micro-electromechanical devices and collaborated with external R&D partners and customers.

From 2011 to 2015, Mehdaoui was a Technical Project Manager at Coventor, managing R&D European projects focused on the development of PDKs for MEMS foundries. Alexandre also worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Bürkert from 2008 to 2010, specializing in MEMS electrochemical sensors and biosensors for water analysis.

Mehdaoui began their career as a Research Engineer at the University of Minnesota in 2007 and later pursued a PhD at EPFL, where they focused on the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of RF MEMS tunable capacitors. Alexandre collaborated with STMicroelectronics and integrated MEMS inductors to develop LC filters.

In summary, Alexandre Mehdaoui, PhD, has a proven track record in various roles within the MEMS and sensors industry, with expertise in project management, innovation, and development of new technologies.

Alexandre Mehdaoui, PhD has a strong educational background in the field of nanotechnology and microsystems engineering. Alexandre obtained their PhD degree from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2002 to 2007, specializing in Nanotechnology and Microsystems Engineering. Prior to their PhD, they completed a Master's degree in Physics from Université de Rennes I in 2002. Additionally, they hold an Engineer degree in microelectronics and physics from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rennes, which they earned from 1999 to 2002. While the obtained month and institution for their additional certifications (Master and PhD) are not provided, they have acquired these qualifications to further enhance their expertise in their respective fields.
