Madisen Baldwin

R&d Program Lead at Sensei

Madisen Baldwin began their work experience in 2017 as a Greenhouse Technician at APPLIED BIOTECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE, INC., where they were responsible for transplanting, watering, fertilizing, and pollinating corn plants for seed production. In 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant at Dow AgroSciences, conducting pest control and crop protection research projects. During this time, they set up experiments, applied treatments, collected and analyzed data on a variety of crops.

In 2018, Madisen also worked as a Sales Associate at Madam Butterfly, a specialty boutique in Sacramento, where they were responsible for meeting sales goals, assisting with merchandising, and managing social media content.

In 2019, Madisen joined Wilbur-Ellis as a Viticulture Field Scout, and later that year, they joined Bayer Crop Science. At Bayer, they started as a Contractual Grower Assistant, managing the pesticide program for protected culture areas. In 2020, they transitioned into a full-time role as an Integrated Pest Management Associate, where they managed and developed integrated pest management programs, trained a team of scouts, and made pest management decisions based on data analysis.

Most recently, Madisen joined Sensei Ag in 2021 as a Senior Research Associate, although the end date for this role is not specified.

Madisen Baldwin attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2014 to 2018. Madisen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Environmental Plant Sciences during this time.

In addition to their degree, Madisen Baldwin has obtained two additional certifications. In November 2018, they became an Agricultural Pest Control Adviser through the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. Later, in April 2020, they also obtained the certification of Private Pesticide Applicator from the same institution.
