Jonah Petri has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Jonah started their career at Apple, Inc in 2003, specializing in high-performance and high-availability architectures. Jonah was responsible for the iPhone's Spotlight implementation and also worked on iPhone Mail maintenance. In 2009, they joined iZotope, Inc as a Lead Engineer, where they led a three-person development team and was involved in designing and implementing features, architectural improvements, and bug triage. Jonah also interacted with various departments within the company. After leaving iZotope, they joined Sense in 2016 as a Software Engineer. No end dates are provided for their roles at Sense and Apple, Inc.

Jonah Petri obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science from Boston College between the years 1998 and 2002.
