Roman Chusov has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Roman is currently working as a Data Engineer at Semrush since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at EPAM Systems as a Software Engineer from 2018 to 2021. During this period, they participated in multiple projects related to the pharmaceutical industry, where they worked as a Junior Software Engineer and later as a Software Engineer. Roman was involved in refining bioinformatics pipelines, deploying applications to the AWS cloud, and creating applications for data extraction, filtering, aggregation, storage, and visualization. Before joining EPAM Systems, Roman worked as an intern, where they worked on an application to compare the cost of AWS and GCP services. Roman also has experience working as a self-employed Android Developer from 2015 to 2017.

Roman Chusov holds a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering, which they obtained from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in the same field at the same institution from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Roman has obtained certifications as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services in April 2021 and as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in November 2020.
