Matteo Calo is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in payment processing and system reliability. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering Payments at Semrush since November 2023, Matteo focuses on developing in-house payment-related products. Prior roles include Engineering Manager Reliability and Engineering Manager Core Platforms at Mollie, where responsibilities encompassed leading teams in reliability strategies and ensuring infrastructure stability. Matteo's career began at Adyen, progressing through various technical and managerial positions, including Technology Lead and Commercial Infrastructure Manager. Earlier experience includes overseeing the Technical Department at iCentre, and roles in legal assistance and customer service at prominent organizations such as Apple and Morino Legal Practice. Matteo holds a Master of Laws from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Winchester.
