Rebeca Medina Amezcua is currently the Plant Cell Biology Lead at SEMILLAS FITÓ, starting in April 2024. Previously, Rebeca held the position of Head of Laboratory at Biome Makers Inc. from July 2022 to March 2024 and served as Lab Manager at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) between September 2019 and July 2022. Rebeca has extensive experience as a Senior Research Technician at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) from August 2013 to August 2019 and worked as a Research Technician at the Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG-CRG) earlier in 2012. Earlier roles included positions at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas de Barcelona - CSIC, and the University of Barcelona, with responsibilities varying from DNA extraction and Sanger sequencing to animal treatments and plant hormone applications. Rebeca holds two Master of Science degrees in Neurobiology and Neurosciences and Experimental Biology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Universitat de Barcelona.
