Andreas Blumauer is the CEO and Founder of Semantic Web Company GmbH, a leading provider of graph-based metadata, search, and analytic solutions since January 2004. In addition to this role, Andreas is a Visiting Faculty Member at WU Executive Academy and served as a Council Member for Forbes from December 2019 to June 2023, contributing to content creation for the Forbes Technology Council. Andreas was also an Editor for Springer Verlag from 2009 to December 2011, where involvement included editing and authoring seminal works on the Semantic Web in German. Previously, Andreas held the position of CEO at punkt. netServices until its merger with Semantic Web Company in 2011 and worked as a Lecturer on Knowledge Management Systems at FHWien der WKW from 2004 to 2009. Educational achievements consist of a Master’s degree in Information Technology from WU and a Master’s degree in Business Informatics from the University of Vienna, along with a currently pursued Diploma in ESG from The Corporate Governance Institute.
