Anne Urfer-Buchwalder, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of neuroscience and genetic research. Anne is currently the Founder and President of Selonterra, Inc., a company that aims to address unmet medical needs in neurodegenerative disorders through innovative approaches. Prior to this, they founded Selonterra LLC in 2008 and served as the Chief Scientific Officer, focusing on the genetic causes of Alzheimer's disease. Anne also established Migraine Therapeutics as a Sole Proprietor, where they developed a relational database on migraine and studied its genetic basis. Before that, they worked as a Scientist at Spectra Biomedical Inc., conducting genetic linkage analysis of migraine inheritance, and as a Visiting Scientist at the Beckmann Research Center of The City of Hope, focusing on T-cell receptor assembly and ligand binding specificity. Anne began their career as an Academic Research Fellow at the University of Basel, Biocenter, where they worked on engineering modified proteins and supervised laboratory activities for graduate students.

Anne Urfer-Buchwalder holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Strasbourg in Strasbourg, France. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the Université de Franche-Comté in Besançon, France.
