Connie Brown-Poppy has over 20 years of work experience. Connie began their career in 1990 as an Office Manager at Southern Bone and Joint. In 1995, they became an Office Administrator at Adrian Fedele, MD Surgeon. From 1996 to 1998, they were a Journalist at Graceville News. In 1998, they started their own business, Papa's Pockets, as a Business Owner. From 2002 to 2005, they were an Ombudsman at the United States Navy. From 2005 to 2013, they were an Administrative Assistant at Jackson County Florida. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Warehouse Coordinator at Love in Action Warehouse. Since 2015, they have been a Sales and Marketing Representative at Acosta. Most recently, they have been a Sales Representative at SellEthics Marketing Group since 2019.

Connie Brown-Poppy began their educational career in 1986 at Jones College-Jacksonville, studying Nursing. Connie continued their studies at Jones College-Jacksonville until 1988, when they obtained an Associate's Degree in Nursing. In 2008, they attended Ashworth College to pursue a Professional Private Investigator certification. Connie also obtained a certification in Professional Private Investigator. In addition, Connie Brown-Poppy has experience in Early Childhood Education and Teaching, obtained from Gulf Coast State College.
