Melissa Hicks is an experienced leader in community empowerment and youth services, currently serving as the Director of Stability and Empowerment Programs at Self Enhancement, Inc. since June 2013. Previously, Melissa held the position of Empowerment Programs Manager at the same organization, and worked as an Assistant Administrator at The Ivy School from August 2011 to June 2013. Melissa's background includes managing the HOPE Program at Looking Glass Youth & Family Services, which focused on independent living and mentoring for young women in foster care. Additionally, Melissa served as an Americorps Member and Teacher at Outdoor High School Northwest Youth Corps, where responsibilities included educating and mentoring high-risk youth. The career began as Site Manager at High Tech High Media Arts from June 2005 to July 2009. Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Metropolitan State University of Denver, earned between 1995 and 1999.
