Derek Dodd is a Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer at Segra since May 2022, bringing extensive experience in IT roles. Prior to Segra, Derek served as a Systems Administrator at Fayetteville Public Works Commission from November 2016 to May 2022, where responsibilities included being the primary backup resource and leading the Horizon View engineering efforts. From December 2011 to November 2016, Derek held the position of Senior Systems Engineer and Epic Client Systems Manager Hyperspace at FirstHealth of the Carolinas, focusing on VMwareView architecture and Epic systems management. Earlier, from November 2004 to December 2011, Derek worked at Duke University Health System in dual roles as an IT Analyst and Desktop Support Engineer. Academically, Derek earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Florida and completed General Studies at Florida State University.
