Andrew Breton has an extensive work experience spanning various industries. Andrew started their career as an Account Executive at Saatchi & Saatchi in 2004 and then worked as a Contributor for This American Life & Planet Money in 2009. During this time, they conceived and wrote the theme song for the popular Planet Money series about toxic assets.
In 2006, Andrew joined BlackRock as an Analyst in the Portfolio Analytics Group and later became an Associate in Client Relationship Management. Andrew worked there until 2011.
In 2013, Andrew joined Thomson Reuters as a Senior Product Specialist, where they managed a data product for quantitative investment analytics. Andrew also provided consulting services to clients on analytic methods, data uses, and operational efficiency. Andrew stayed with Thomson Reuters until 2015.
From 2015 to 2021, Andrew worked at Elsen Inc. as the Head of Quant Analytics & Research. Elsen is a Platform-as-a-Service company for large financial institutions. During their time there, they were responsible for the Elsen nPlatform, which enables users to harness vast quantities of data for making better decisions and solving complex problems.
In 2021, Andrew joined SlyceData as the Head of Data & Engineering, where they worked until 2022. Finally, they joined Seek in 2022 as the VP of Data, where they architect new software solutions for data management and analytics. Andrew also manages a team of engineers to deliver new products with quick iteration cycles.
Andrew Breton obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Economics at Duke University from 2011 to 2012.
