Lisa Williams has a diverse work experience starting in 2004. Lisa began their career as an Actor/Educator at the University of Missouri and later worked at the George Street Playhouse as an Actor, Education Assistant, and Assistant House Manager. In 2008, they joined Mautz Security, Inc as an Office Coordinator. Lisa then transitioned to the University of Memphis as an Office Coordinator, where they were responsible for timekeeping, supervision of student workers, and assisting non-traditional students. Lisa later interned at the Brooks Museum of Art, where they assisted with public relations and event promotion.
In 2010, Lisa served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Playhouse on the Square, where they planned and implemented marketing, public relations, and advertising strategies for live theatre productions and events. Lisa also managed social media accounts, organized mass mailings, and created marketing collateral.
Following their role at the Playhouse on the Square, Lisa worked as a Marketing Manager at Hemline | Tailored Brand Strategies. In this position, they served as a liaison between the agency and freelance artists and was responsible for project communication, content creation, competitive research, and generating reports.
In 2016, Lisa joined City Leadership as a Communications Director, a role they held until 2020. Finally, Lisa has recently started working as the Communications Director at Seeding Success.
Lisa Williams attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theater Performance. Lisa later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Journalism at The University of Memphis from 2008 to 2011.
