Paul Phelan is a seasoned maintenance and reliability engineer with extensive experience in the mining and engineering sectors. Currently employed at Sedgman since October 2014, Paul specializes in enhancing asset reliability. Previously, Paul held key roles at HVL Group, where responsibilities included overall reliability management and implementation of Lean processes across New South Wales and Queensland. Additional experience includes positions as a reliability engineer with Rio Tinto Coal Australia and Rio Tinto Alcan, where Paul focused on maintenance reliability, condition monitoring, and continuous improvement projects. Early career roles as a quantity surveyor and project engineer provided a strong foundation in project management and cost control. Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from CQUniversity and has undergone extensive training starting from an apprenticeship at Swift Engineering.
