Hector Vela has a wealth of experience in sales and management roles. Hector began their career in 1984 as Product Organization Manager for Latin America at Hewlett-Packard. In 1994, they became Managing Director for Mexico and Central America at Progress Software, where they were recognized as the "Manager with Best Subsidiary of the World" for three consecutive years. In 2003, they became Country Sales Manager for Direct & Indirect Software Sales at IBM, and achieved a sales performance of 126% of target. In 2004, they moved to SAP as Commercial Director for Mexico, where they achieved sales goals for four consecutive years, reaching over 35% average growth annually. In 2011, they became Commercial Director at Damovo, where they closed large government communications projects and managed P&L, marketing, sales, channel, and engineering teams. In 2016, they joined Newforma as Sales Vice President for Latin America, providing strategic advice and leading market segmentation. Finally, in 2019, they became Sales Vice President for Latin America at Security Weaver, where they developed the go-to-market strategy and achieved market penetration in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, and Colombia.
Hector Vela attended Universidad Anáhuac from 1979 to 1983, where they earned an Ing in Civil.
