Adil Malek

Manager, Derivatives Analytics at Security Benefit

Adil Malek has a diverse work experience beginning in 2013 as a Creative Movements Assistant Teacher at KC Ismaili Center. In 2015, they worked as a Business Analyst Intern at Golden Family, LLC and later as a Management and Business Administration Intern at the same company. From 2015 to 2016, they served as a National Representative for Delta Epsilon Mu.

Moving forward, Adil became a Student Portfolio Manager at The University of Kansas School of Business in 2017. Adil then joined State Street in 2018, starting as a Fund Accountant, Associate II, where they calculated impacts for various funds and resolved inquiries for clients. Adil was later promoted to Senior Fund Accountant, Team Lead, in charge of managing multiple clients with a total asset value of over $43.5 billion.

Most recently, Adil has been employed at Security Benefit as a Derivatives Data and Business Analyst. Adil has worked on ad-hoc data projects, performed data verification, and assisted in processing derivatives lifecycle events. In their current role as a Lead Derivatives Data Analyst, they oversee the derivatives data analysis and further develops the technology systems to improve efficiency.

Adil Malek completed a Master's degree in Data Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, studying from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The University of Kansas School of Business, graduating from 2013 to 2017. Adil also holds additional certifications in Python programming, specifically "Computing in Python II: Control Structures" from Georgia Institute of Technology, obtained in November 2020, and "Computing in Python I: Fundamentals and Procedural Programming."
